Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture

OmohundroThe UNC Press is proud to be the long-time publisher for the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture, the only organization in the United States exclusively dedicated to the advancement of study, research, and publications bearing on the history and culture of early America up to 1820. Books published through this partnership, which dates back more than half a century, have won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, the Bancroft Prize, and the Francis Parkman Prize.

The Institute is sponsored by the College of William and Mary and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. All editorial work, including acquisitions, for Institute books, is done under the direction of Fredrika J. Teute, editor of publications.
