This chapter summarizes the preceding discussions and presents some final thoughts. This book mapped part of the Afro-Arab world within the context of changing colonial and national configurations. It discussed the fugitive memories of history that have become taboo in the contemporary public sphere, such as Black/Jewish relations and the question of Palestine, and also made a claim for an expansive understanding of black radicalism and black studies.
